This wedding shadow box used both solid and sheer ribbon in the colors of the wedding. The silk orange lilies were picked to go with the bride's bouquet. A small standing card with the wedding date is glued on the "floor" of the shadow box.
The photo of the groom and bride was enlarged and printed on archival quality photo paper.

This custom baby shadow box is a small size (5x7) and features a wallet-sized photo of the baby along with chipboard letters, beads, and flowers.

This wedding invitation included the couple's Chinese last name as a decorative accent. Both the invitation and accent were raised in this wedding shadow box, with flowers both underneath and over the invitation.

This custom wedding shadow box features hand-selected silk flowers that matched the flowers and color scheme used throughout the wedding. Figurines of a giraffe and tortoise (bottom right) were added to create a whimsical feel as well as to reflect the location of the wedding -- the L.A. zoo. While difficult to see in the photo, there is a thin filament of iridescent beads hanging down from the orchids.

This bat mitzvah shadow box was too large to fit in a standard small frame, but too small to fit a larger frame on its own. To make it work, the invitation was framed with a matching pink matte and larger-width ribbons were used to anchor the invitation in place.

The next three photos are a wedding set. The first box contains a photo of the bride and groom with a simple ribbon accent. The wedding logo from the invitation was included, and the ribbon color matched the color used throughout the wedding.

This box has pink-and-white layered flowers with the invitation raised slightly, making it seem as if the invitation is floating on the flowers.

The final shadow box, lined with extra material from a bridesmaid dress, contained the other parts of the invitation. A pair of origami cranes reflected the Japanese theme used during the rehearsal dinner.

In this wedding shadow box, this traditional gold-embossed Chinese-English invitation was inserted into the box as if partially open to provide some visual depth. Red satin and gold ribbon help to further catch the light.

These three wedding shadow boxes were created as a set for my own wedding. The first features fabric lining and simply displays the different portions of our invitation. The fabric, which was used throughout our wedding, was custom-fitted and glued into the shadow box.

The second shadow box features a photo with sheer ribbon curling around the edges. Loose silk rose petals (which were scattered down the aisle by the flower girls) were added to the bottom of the shadow box.

The final shadow box involved hand-twisted silver-plated wire to form the letters and numbers of the wedding date. Also included was a silk rosebud, similar to the roses worn by the groomsmen. Finally, the hand-decorated matchbox wedding favors add a personal and unique touch to the shadow box.
