How it Works
So that you feel fully comfortable with the process of ordering a custom shadow box, here's how the entire thing works...

Decide what kind of shadow box you want. View the gallery for inspiration and then look at the options and pricing. You can then place an order. If you have questions about anything, contact me!

I'll contact you and confirm and/or talk more about what you're looking for. I'll send you a final quote. You confirm the quote by email and pay with PayPal, credit card, or check, then mail me any physical items you want me to use -- photos, invitations, or other memorabilia.

When payment and all the materials are received, I create a simple project site and schedule using Basecamp so that you know when you can see a design mockup, view the work in progress, and more.

The creative process starts! I'll keep you updated as I pull together color swatches, create a design sketch, and finally create the custom shadow box. (If for some reason you don't like any of my design sketches, I'll provide a refund of your money, minus a fee for the time I've spent on the sketches.)

Finally, I ship you the custom shadow box (along with any materials not used), and it's ready to display! (You can provide a different shipping address for the box itself, with either a personally written card that you've mailed me or one of our free gift enclosure cards if you want to send the box as a gift.)
And if you'll let me, I'll probably want to add your new shadow box to my portfolio.
Frequently Asked Questions
- How long does it take?
The total length of time depends on how long it takes for you to send me your materials. Once I have the materials, it takes approximately two weeks, plus two days for shipping. Custom designs may take longer. - I'm local. Do I still have to pay for shipping?
If you are in the Sacramento area, you can drop off your materials and pick up the final product in-person. This way you don't have to pay for shipping! - Can I send you my own ribbon, flowers, etc.?
Of course! You'll see that there's a place in the order form (near the bottom) where you can specify that you want to use your own memorabilia. While this is a great way to save on the cost of materials, also be aware that this limits my artistic options as I work with what you send me! I'll talk to you if I think that some of the things you send won't work.
